Cua Dai Beach

Just 5 km east of Hoi An, the fine-sand beach of Bai Tam Cua Dai remains virtually deserted throughout the year, except on nights of the full moon, when it attracts couples seeking romance.

Cam Kim Island

Beyond its beaches, Cam Kim Island is home to several renowned artisan villages. One of them, Kim Bong, has supplied intricate wooden sculptures for centuries—ornaments that grace merchant houses and community buildings throughout the region. Today, this heritage craft endures, and the vast majority of wooden sculptures sold in Hoi An are still produced on the island. Other villages specialize in the construction and restoration of wooden boats.

Cham Island

Some twenty kilometers away, Cham Island produces a highly prized specialty sought after as far as Singapore and Hong Kong: bird's nests, which are used in the preparation of the famous soup of the same name. An annual festival takes place here before the start of the fishing season, to honor and bless the local fleet. The celebration features a religious ceremony, boat races, and tug-of-war competitions.
