Vietnam with Family

You leave the hustle and bustle of Hanoi to join the basin of Mai Chau, in the heart of the northern mountains of Vietnam.

This rural territory reveals its traditional villages with stilt houses and its terraced rice fields, while offering the opportunity to meet the Thai minorities (White Thai and Black Thai), Muong and Hmong, and to better understand their ways of life and their culture.

Mr Cuong welcomes you to his home to share a typical lunch of the region. After the meal, you hop on bicycles to gently explore this rural valley, representative of the northern countryside.

Along the paths, you discover a friendly atmosphere, marked by smiles, rice fields, bamboo forests and gardens, as well as hamlets where traditions remain very much present.

The evening continues in a typical setting. You settle with a local family for dinner, followed by a show of traditional dances and music, accompanied by fermented rice wine called Can.

You then spend the night with a local family.

After breakfast at a local home, you head towards Ninh Binh, Vietnam's ancient capital in the 10th century, often nicknamed the "terrestrial Halong Bay" and made famous by the film Indochine.

You visit the two temples of Hoa Lu, built in the 17th century and dedicated to Kings Dinh and Lê.

At Tam Coc, you board a traditional rowboat for a two-hour cruise through a karst landscape, crossing the three caves of Tam Coc carved into the rock.

The day concludes with a visit to the Bich Dong Pagoda, perched on a mountainside.

After breakfast at a local restaurant, you head towards Lan Ha Bay, often presented as the "little sister" of Ha Long Bay.

At the Ben Beo pier, you board a traditional wooden junk to begin cruising among the limestone karst peaks, with a first stop at a floating village dedicated to seafood farming.

The cruise continues to Van Boi beach. Lunch on board, then free time to swim in the emerald waters, enjoy the sun on the beach or relax on the sundeck.

In the afternoon, you set off on a kayaking excursion towards Hang Ca or Dau Be cave, offering another way to explore the bay.

At the end of the day, the junk returns to the heart of the bay to watch the sunset.

The boat itinerary in Lan Ha Bay may be changed without notice according to weather conditions or tide levels.

You admire the dawn colors over the bay and, for enthusiasts, a tai-chi session is offered on the deck.

The morning continues with a kayaking trip on calm waters, including a visit to a fish farm and observation of the fishermen's daily life.

Back on board, you enjoy a moment of relaxation before savoring brunch, while the junk resumes its course towards the port.

Upon your arrival at the port, you head to Hanoihanoi airport for your flight to Danang.

After approximately 1 hour 30 minutes of flight, you arrive at Danang airport, where your guide and driver welcome you.

You immediately hit the road for a short transfer to the town of Hoi An, where you check in to your hotel.

The early morning is free until the time of transfer to the airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh, the former Saigon.

Welcome and transfer to the city, then discovery of Ho Chi Minh through the Saigon River, the old colonial district, Ton Duc Thang Avenue and Nguyen Hue Avenue (former Charner Boulevard).

You continue exploring the city with a visit to the Fito Museum, then the Central Post Office, before strolling through the lively aisles of the Ben Thanh Market, an emblematic place of local daily life.

At the end of the day, you return to your hotel for the night.

From Saigon, you take the road towards Ben Tre Province to discover the Mekong Delta.

A short journey by local boat takes you through small canals, allowing you to observe the daily life of the inhabitants, between fishing, transport of goods and traditional activities.

You will then visit an artisanal coconut candy factory, as well as a brick kiln where Mekong clay is transformed and fired in impressive ovens.

A tuk-tuk ride through lush countryside allows you to observe the simplicity and joie de vivre of the villagers.

In the afternoon, you board a rowing boat to navigate a network of streams bordered by water palms, before continuing your discovery with a bicycle excursion through the heart of fruit gardens.

Late in the day, you take the road to Can Tho passing through Cai Mon and Vinh Long, before reaching your hotel, the Can Tho Ecolodge, for the night.

Early in the morning, you board a boat to discover the Cai Rang floating market, the largest and most lively in the Mekong Delta.

You observe dozens of sampans loaded with rice, fruits and handicraft products, gathered for the exchange and sale of local productions.

You will then depart to Rach Gia where you will take the speedboat to Phu Quoc Island.

Arrival in late afternoon.

You have free time until your transfer, without a guide, to Ile Phu Quoc airport. This time can be used for a final relaxation break or a stroll depending on your departure schedule, before your flight to Saigon.

Upon arrival, you are welcomed by the driver before the transfer to your hotel, where you settle in for the rest of your stay.
